3 Black Women Content Creators We Love

Black women are increasingly creating opportunities for themselves in business and setting the standard in all areas of social media and content creation. It seems as though everytime I go onto social media I end up down the rabbit hole of finding another bomb, boss, black woman that is killing it in the digital content arena – I am sure I’m not the only one. As of late, I’ve been greatly drawn to these 3 black women content creators that are inspiring the next wave of digital mavens.

Skylar Marshai- Social Strategist,Storyteller- Skylar Marshai is the epitome of content queen partnered with luxury. Marshai is a social strategist at The Creative Collective NYC (The CCNYC), an agency that assist brands to reach black and brown communities. Currently, Marshai capitvates her audience with her aesthetically pleasing instagram content shedding light on her travel diaries, fashion, and compelling moments of her relationship with digital creator Temi. Marshai has dedicated her career to being support for black women by using her gifts in social strategy to help other gain  opportunities and teaching the masses those very same skills.

Kortlynn Jenae- Model, Host, Comedian- Talk about media powerhouse? This upcoming content creator is well on her way to being a household name. Jenae is Louisiana State University alumna that took her chances and moved to NY after betting on herself and taking her passions for hosting to the next level. She made the decision to leave her parents in New Orleans and set her sights on growing her career in New York. After making the career changing move in March of 2019, she has since been a featured host on BET, Host for “ Hearst Magazine ( Black Culture)” and she has even expanded to a career in modeling. Jenae is signed to ‘Dorothy Combs” which has grossed her placement with brands Ashley Stewart, Dia&Co, and Target.

Danielle Young- is a Writer, Producer, Journalist, and Host that grew her career in entertainment journalism and is making social media her playground. She started her career as freelance writer for various platforms 2007, then founnd herself in higher positions such as Associate Editor ( Hello Beautiful), Lifestyle editor (Hello Beautiful) , Social Content Producer ( The Root) , and Video Producer and Host ( The Root, and Essence). Now, Young is working for herself and curating digital content around the clock being the host of multiple shows she’s created. Those shows include “The Danielle Young Show”,  “Real Quick”, “ Opinionated”, and “Stories Told”. Danielle Young is a content creator who laid the ground work far beyond the world caught on to her star power. She pivoted her career during the pandemic and her name and likeness have only been climbing since.
