Digital Content Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY
The Digital Content Coordinator manages the Zion Church brand on the website, e-newsletters, social media platforms, the mobile application, and digitally produced materials. As the Brand Manager; ensures that the continuity and consistency of public-facing content match the style and usage guidelines, and are consistent with Zion's mission, vision, and key messages. In short, this individual produces digital and video content that tells compelling stories about Zion Church’s impact on the communities in which it serves.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Primary liaison for campus and key ministry leaders, content team volunteers, and contractors.
Manages the church editorial calendar and schedules digital content using Hootsuite, Google Sheets, and social media platforms.
Composes and disseminates a weekly staff update email; sermon series overviews, scripts for announcements and videos.
Measure and report marketing and communications campaign effectiveness using data analytics.
Identifies target audiences to employ the most viable option to publicize information.
Stays abreast of technological advances to implement innovative media campaigns.
Write short copy for the web; tweets, captions, social media posts, event descriptions, invitations, and calls-to-action.
QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant or related discipline; two to five years of experience in digital communications or marketing.
Excellent copywriting skills, using proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Knowledge of graphic design.
Specialization in video or content creation is a plus, but not required.
Hands-on familiarity with a CRM tool; such as Church Community Builder.
Familiar with SEO.
A writing sample may be required.
