Color Vision's 2024 Creators Summit Celebrates Innovation, Diversity, and Empowerment in Washington D.C.

Washington, D.C. – September 23, 2024 – The Color Vision Creators Summit returned this year to the Marriott Marquis in Washington D.C., uniting a dynamic collective of creators, innovators, and entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds. The 2024 Creators Summit was a resounding success, offering a full day of immersive experiences, inspiring keynotes, thought-provoking panels, and hands-on workshops, leaving attendees empowered and connected.

This year’s event honored trailblazing women of color, including Jenee Naylor, Jeannette Reyes, Maya Hicks, and Nandi Howard, for their invaluable contributions to the creative industries. The summit also featured an impressive lineup of speakers from top companies, including CNN, Uber, GoFundMe, and Capital One, offering insights and sharing personal journeys of resilience, leadership, and creativity.

Key Highlights:

  • The summit opened with the "Meet the Disrupters" panel, featuring Dr. Tammira Lucas and Lori Hall, both industry leaders redefining what it means to lead as a woman of color in today’s competitive landscape. Their insights captivated the audience, setting a powerful tone for the day.

  • Candice Coleman shared a deeply personal and inspiring story about surviving breast cancer, offering hope and encouragement to attendees during the Creators Luncheon.

  • A standout of the day was the Capital One Pitch in 60 workshop, where participants engaged in a fast-paced creative sprint, pitching ideas to seasoned brand creatives. This highly interactive session provided real-time feedback and collaboration with industry experts, empowering creators to refine their pitches on the spot.

  • GoFundMe presented a key session on crowdfunding strategies, teaching attendees how to leverage the platform to support their creative endeavors. Amanda Brown Lierman, Executive Director of GoFundMe, led the workshop, offering actionable advice that resonated with both novice and seasoned creators.

  • The Shattering Glass Ceilings panel featured powerhouse speakers from TNT and CNN, who discussed overcoming barriers in their industries and leading with purpose beyond boundaries.
