Color Vision Launches Next Generation Mentorship Program for Creative Women of Color

January 1st 2021: Color Vision, an organization dedicated to helping creative black women turn their dreams into reality has launched a unique mentorship program aiming to improve career opportunities, personal growth, and develop a trajectory for women of color to go from desire to achievement in both career and business.

Even though the pandemic has created chaos and stunted opportunities for many, the world is changing with more women of color turning to business, and looking to grow in careers of choice. Color Vision’s mentorship program will be the perfect platform for such women to engage, learn and gain awareness of career opportunities, business and entrepreneurship to become leading figures in their community and field.

Color Vision’s mentorship program has been developed and designed by the organization’s advisory board to foster knowledge and connection through learning partnerships. The goal of the mentorship program is to help women of color take a proactive role in career development by providing opportunities to get involved in valuable one on one mentoring partnerships.

Speaking about the mentorship program, founder and creative in chief of Color Vision Mia Davis said: Over the years I’ve seen mentorship programs for a variety of industries, but rarely for women of color in creative fields. The next great television writer, novelist, graphic designer, makeup artist, interior designer and so on are rarely helped and we hope to change that.

The inaugural mentorship program will include 25 young mentees of color who are either recent graduates or starting out in entry level position of their careers. Helping them on this journey will be 25 leading women in a variety of fields and businesses  who have carved a name for themselves in business, and the entertainment industry.

Color Vision was established by Mia Davis as a woman led empowerment organization in 2017 with mission to improve fairness and equity in creative industries. Its aim is to support women of color with training, mentorship and scholarships to gain access to equal opportunities in employment, business, and higher education.

We're helping the next generation build influential relationships and giving them direct access. We pride ourselves in the awesome events we have full of intimate panels and experiences, however we know that real change starts with relationships,  Says Ms Davis.

The application process for Color Vision’s mentorship program will begin in March 2021. For more information on how to apply please visit  https://www.colorvisioncreates.com/
