Issa Rae Joins The Variety Hall of Fame

Insecure creator and actress Issa Rae was recently inducted into Variety’s Hall of fame. Rae who has inspired millions across the world created her own lane just seven years ago with her YouTube series “Awkward Black Girl.” She has shown us all what can happen when you make your own opportunities.

“I’m here because of the internet and because of YouTube…..I’m thankful because so many people gave me so many opportunities to suck a lot…and get better because that matters, and that means a lot too,” Rae said during her induction speech at the Variety induction.
